Up and running in a minute.

  1. Open the disk image

Double-click the downloaded file to open it.

  2. Drag to Applications

Drag SwiftStory onto the Applications folder, then eject the disk image.

  3. Allow it once

The app is not notarised by Apple yet, so macOS asks the first time. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway. On macOS 14 and earlier, Control-click the app and choose Open.

  4. Start from the sample

The first launch opens a sample workspace: environments, accounts, account histories and templates you can generate from straight away.

Free, and honest about it.

The terms, in short:

  • Free to use

SwiftStory is freeware: free to download and use, with no account, subscription, trial or ads.

  • Provided as is

It comes without warranty of any kind and without any obligation to support it, fix problems or keep it updated.

  • Test data only

Generated messages are for test systems. Never send them to a production gateway or a live counterparty.

  • It writes files

Generation writes message files into the output folder you choose. Check that folder before pointing a gateway at it.

  • Not affiliated with SWIFT

SWIFT is a trademark of S.W.I.F.T. SC. SwiftStory is an independent tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by SWIFT, and its checks are not SWIFT's network validation.

  • No liability

As far as the law allows, the author is not liable for loss or damage arising from using the app.

SwiftStory is built with open-source components, including Tauri, Svelte and Rust crates such as regex, rust_decimal and quick-xml, each under its own licence.
